The Anglo Celtic Plate Ultra-Distance Association was formed in February 2021 and is affiliated to Welsh Athletics. It aims to support ultra-distance running athletes to represent their National Federation in the Anglo Celtic Plate 100K International Team and Individual Race or any other ultra-race between England and the Celtic Countries. The Association works with all Countries under the umbrella of UK Athletics and Athletics Ireland.
Aims and Objectives
The Association:
- promotes and coordinate the Anglo Celtic Plate 100K Home International Team and Individual Race, which is held annually between each participating country in turn, and supports the organizers of the host country who have taken the responsibility to hold this race.
- promotes ultra-distance running within the participating Countries and provides opportunities for ultra-distance competition between the participating countries.
- creates a supportive, welcoming atmosphere with an emphasis on the social and health benefits of running.
- provides services in a way that is fair to everyone.
Membership consists of one member from each of the participating Countries Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Athletics Ireland, England plus a representative from the Road Runners Club
Officers of the Association
The Committee consists of the Honorary President, Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Communication Officer, Webmaster, Media officer, Statistician Officer, Road Runners Club Representative as a minimum to help run the Association.
